steadfast i walk

Sorry for letting this flounder for some time. I'd try to make a promise to post at least once a month but I never seem to get it together. I haven't been drawing much lately - job takes a lot of energy from me.

I also de-linked this place from my website. Even if it is pretty damn easy to find anyway, I like having a least a little bit of separation from my budding professional life and my for-fun non-professional life.

I've managed to squeeze a few things out to post here, though.

I bought some Yupo paper. I'm not sure I really get the point of watercolor paper that is waterproof. I kinda feel like I'm being massively trolled. But it DOES make the colors SUPER bright and rich, even if the color wipes right off if you so much as look at it wrong.

It was meant to be Axel floating in water, sorta. Psychology, ugh.


More fooling with Yupo. I-I kinda like the effect, actually.


Liss said the only character of hers I haven't drawn is Owen, so let's take care of that now :3 I've also thought about doing some inkwash commissions since my inkwash pics seem to be going over really well on DA.

righty-o... I'm chatting w/ aysha right now and I've been drawing for the past 6 hours XD lol. but i am le tired so i scanned all of them. aysha has beat the record for phone conversations!
1st place: aysha, 7.5 hours
2nd place: jeremy, 6 hours

but also, i bought a new sketchbook and drew a bunch of stuff. . it was mostly clothing and jewelery and some crap.


SHETLAND PONY/HOBBIT CENTAUR! Omg so cute. Furry and chubby love! Fairly quick, inked pretty quickly too :p


Neuer Charakter... her name is Sabine, she's kind of a.. traveller musician? She comes in later... a teacher of Eianeyo. I want her to play an instrument but I want it to be something totally unexpected. Like a really huge drum or something @_@

i luv rhys SO MUCH ARGH. so this is an alternative outfit, for the colder northern winters they have, inspired by Sami traditional clothing and such.

DRESSES! a fancier dress for solais, like maybe as if she had a tad more money, and also jessie's Nyarai in a sari, cos she said something like nyarai likes flowier things, and things that are easy to put on and such. and i love saris so much :p


MOAR RHYS and it's obvious most of this post was clothing practice and stuff, because i got a ton of costume and clothing references lately so i was all hyped to draw CLOTHES. i love it!!! so much fun, when I find stuff i really like and all. so this is rhys as a RUSSIAN PRINCE because i love it. for those cold winters, and lots of layers and FURRY COATS!!! Also cos I've had a handful of character dreams lately and for some reason Rhys always appears to me as a prince. No clue why. He's totally not in my story.
